No, ThaiVedic Yoga is not a new style of Hatha Yoga. We use the term “Yoga” to denote a wide range of yogic practices, and not only a style of Asana (physical postures). Although physical postures will be taught, they are not the focus of these trainings.
ThaiVedic is a holistic system through which all styles of yoga can be better understood and adjusted to suit the individual. Yoga teachers trained in the ThaiVedic system are able to adapt their teaching to suit time of day, season, individual and place. These principles can be applied to any style of asana practice.
Hatha Yoga is taught within the ThaiVedic modules. The alignment principles of Anusara Yoga form the foundation of our ThaiVedic movement and postural sequences. Anusara Yoga is an effective and profound tool for structural therapy. We will also teach you in which way different styles such as Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, Martial Arts, and all movement therapies can be holistically integrated through the lens of our Elemental Sequencing method.
